XYCOM XVME-491
XYCOM XVME-491 is a 6U double-slot VME-bus serial I/O module that provides four RS-422A/RS-485 interfaces. Its main technical features include:
- Number of Channels: 4 independent serial channels, each equipped with its own baud-rate generator and modem-control signals (RTS, CTS, DCD)
- Controller Chips: Uses two Zilog Z8530 SCC (Serial Communication Controller) chips, supporting multiple protocols such as asynchronous, byte-synchronous, and bit-oriented communication
- Maximum Baud Rate:
- Asynchronous (internal/external): up to 57.6 kbaud
- Synchronous (internal/external): up to 500 kbaud
- Power Requirements: +5 V ≈ 1.4 A (typical), +12 V ≈ 100 mA (typical)
- VME-bus Interface: Compliant with IEEE 1014; A16:D08(O) DTB slave device; supports 7 interrupt levels with jumper-selectable interrupt vector
- Dimensions: 6U × 6.3 in (approx. 233.68 mm × 160.02 mm), double-slot form factor
