Item Description
Product Positioning The EN-214 belongs to the Emerson Control Techniques series of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), in the same product family as the EN-204 and EN-208. It is designed specifically for industrial motor speed regulation, energy saving, and process control applications.
Main Functions V/f (Voltage/Frequency) Control, Sensorless Vector Control
• Programmable acceleration/deceleration time, torque limit, soft start/braking
• Multiple communication interfaces: Modbus RTU, DeviceNet, Profibus-DP, EtherNet/IP, etc. (optional)
Applicable Motors Suitable for asynchronous induction motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors, covering power ranges from 0.5 HP (≈ 0.37 kW) to several tens of HP (depending on model). Supports single-phase or three-phase power supply.
Typical Applications – Variable-speed control of pumps, fans, and compressors
– Speed regulation of conveyors and packaging machines
– Closed-loop control of flow, pressure, and temperature in process industries such as chemical, oil & gas, and food production
Enclosure & Protection Available in NEMA 1 or NEMA 12 plastic/metal housings with IP20–IP55 protection ratings (depending on configuration). Suitable for dry or lightly dusty environments.
Installation & Commissioning Equipped with an optional local keypad/display, and supports configuration and diagnostics via Emerson AMS Device Manager or Field Communicator tools.
Reliability Complies with UL 508, IEC 61800-3, and other international safety standards. Provides protection against overcurrent, phase loss, ground faults, and overheating, along with Power Advisory Diagnostics for monitoring power health.
